NAPLES, Fla., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- In order
to honor America's heroic firefighters, Naples Bank Note Company has issued
a commemorative Art piece, "Our Everyday Heroes."
"We are particularly sensitive to the issue of raising
funds for firefighters," said Bob Bednar, CEO of NBNC, "and we feel that
the release of this art piece can help rebuild all of our spirits."
According to Bednar, "Our Everyday Heroes" Banknote
Art piece was originally scheduled for release in late July, however, after
the events of September 11th, and the valiant displays of firefighters
in New York, the twin towers was added to the design.
The main focus of the piece is the engraving of
"Our Everyday Hero" by Richard Baratz, a world-renowned engraver of stamps
and currencies. The multi-color design also incorporates unique features,
such as six Maltese crosses hidden within the vignette, a reference to
the Worcester 6; NY's twin towers, a broken heart and that memorable date;
and the date 1736, the year the first volunteer fire company was formed.
The Banknote Art piece also contains the Fireman's Prayer along with other
facts intricately woven into the artwork.
This collectible Banknote Art is being offered in
an 11" x 14" double mat, suitable for framing, at a cost of $29.95. Individual
"Banknotables" is priced at $19.95.
This fundraising tool is now available to
individual fire companies to use as a gift of appreciation to their firefighters
as well as a donor recognition tool. Several fire companies have
asked NBNC to place their logos on the face of the design.
