The above Banknote Art™ piece was designed to commemorate the Firefighters of our nation.  This Banknote Art™ will be used by firefighter organizations to raise funds for use in their own foundations or other charities they support.  The engraved image of the firefighter was done by famous banknote and postage stamp engraver Richard Baratz, who is chief engraver for The Naples Bank Note Company.  The overall design of the piece was done by renowned banknote designer Christopher McCauley.

Firefighters' Commemorative Banknote Art™ Note Detail

Firefighters' Commemorative Design & Security Features:

• Invisible fibers can be seen under an ultra-violet light.
• Fine line guilloche tints. 
• Special split fountain color tint background on the Face and Back.
• Laser Lock invisible technology to guarantee authenticity.
• Printing on special banknote paper that contains maroon and yellow fibers that fluoresce under ultra violet light.
• Paper that is chemically reactive to a number of chemicals. To verify authenticity, apply a small amount of acetone or nail polish remover to paper and a blue stain should appear.
• Secret hidden image that "pops" when the document is copied, or can be seen with a special reader. Hint: What is the temperature at which paper ignites?
• Microline on Face Reads: ST FLORIAN - Regarded in most countries to be the patron saint of the fire service. Microline on Face Reads: OUR EVERYDAY HEROES. Microlines on Face & Back Read: FUEL HEAT AIR. This is known as the Fire Triangle; these three elements must be present at the same time to have fire.
• The numbers 14/9 - the week in which fire prevention week falls each year. The number 1852 is hidden in the fire truck - this was the year William F Channing and Moses G. Farmer installed the first municipal fire alarm system in Boston, MA. The number 1679 - the year the first paid fire department in North America was organized. The number 1736 - the year the first volunteer fire company was formed. The number 6 to the lower right of the vignette ...a tribute to the six brave men who gave their lives in the Worcester firefighter tragedy of 1999.
• Additionally, 6 Maltese Crosses are hidden within the vignette - one for each Worcester Firefighter who lost his life in the Worcester firefighter tragedy of 1999.
• Maltese Cross and EMS symbol register front to back.
• Remembrance of the Americans who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City September 11, 2001.
• Also included are several other hidden numbers and letters ...their meanings are known only to a select few at the Naples Bank Note Company.
